WISEArchive is a web based archive which records and preserves the working life stories of people in the UK in order to recognise and value the contribution they have made to society. You can keyword search the electronic archives to find stories of the working lives of older people, in a growing catalogue of occupations.
If you are over 50, the story you have to tell about your working life is an important part of our recent history and of interest to many. Perhaps you have just read a contribution which is in the catalogue and would like to add your own experience. We welcome all contributions.
- What it was like to work full time at 14?
- Did your company build you a bowling green?
- How do you become a spy?

We have contributions from the Milk Marketing Board, Mile Cross in Norwich, retired staff from Jarrolds Store in Norwich, Fakenham in Norfolk and a range of experiences from other older people. We have received Lottery funding for some of our projects.
We thank the Eastern Evening News and Norfolk Community Foundation for last year's award of Red Nose Day Community Cash. This really gave us a lift and we are happy to announce that we have now been awarded Sports Relief funding which will greatly help us with our work. Thanks go to the Fitzmaurice Trust and Norfolk Family History Association for their donations. Our fund-raising sales and events have also brought in some funds and given us some fun organising them. We've joined Localgiving so you can donate on-line at www.localgiving.com/charity/wisearchive and encourage you to do your on-line shopping with big names such as Amazon and M&S on www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/wisearchive .
